约克大学语言课程也是比较受欢迎的，对于语言课程来说，主要目的是为了帮助学生提高自身的语言能力，通过考试从而进入大学学习，学生只要有85%以上的出勤率，同时通过写作、专题发言和ELAC的测试就能能够顺利进入硕士课程的学习，并且能够获得Graduate Certificate in English Language Teaching(ELT)。

4周语言课程录取要求：已获得约克大学无条件offer的学生。

8周语言课程录取要求：申请约克大学管理学院、MA TESOL、MA ALLT和MA ALELT以外专业，已获得有条件offer的学生。雅思6.0，写作不低于6.0，或托福87，各单项不低于23。

10周语言课程录取要求：申请约克大学管理学院相关专业，已获得有条件offer的学生。雅思6.0/6.5，写作不低于6.0，或托福87，各单项不低于23。

12周语言课程录取要求：申请约克大学教育学院MA TESOL、MA ALLT和MA ALELT相关专业，已获得有条件offer的学生。雅思6.5，各单项不低于6.0，或托福96，各单项不低于23。
