Congratulations to all newly admitted Bearcats!

Decision Release Day was on January 22 and all undergraduate students who completed their application by UC’s Early Action Deadline on December 1st have now received their admission decision. Students can log into their applicant status page to view their decision.

Applications are still open for many undergraduate programs that have not closed. Encourage your students to apply as soon possible for consideration to popular programs and top scholarships. Review our undergraduate admissions requirements.

Update: Closed Programs

Several of our competitive undergraduate programs are no longer accepting applications. Visit our Closed Programs website to have the most up-to-date information on which programs are now closed for the 2024 Fall semester. If a student’s top choice program is closed, we encourage them to look at our other similar offerings for direct admission.

Housing Application Now Open
For undergraduate students who have been admitted and accepted their offer, the housing application is now open! All first-year international students are required to live on campus, and we highly recommend this application be completed as soon as possible for priority selection of available options.

International Undergraduate Virtual Events: 1:1 calls with ambassadors
Students can connect with us to get their questions answered! We are excited to offer Admitted Student Webinars every two weeks and virtual calls with our international student ambassadors. This is a great way for them to talk with a UC International Admissions counselor and a current UC student. Interested students can sign up for one or both events on our International Virtual Events Website.

Graduate Program & Student Spotlight
The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati offers dozens of engineering and applied science graduate-level programs including Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and doctorate degrees. CEAS is proud to offer 31 specialized Master’s Programs including 4 Cross-Disciplinary Master of Engineering Programs. Computer Science Master’s and PhD programs are offered in CEAS.

Admitted full-time PhD students will receive fully funded offers at the time of admission (full scholarship plus stipend). Admitted full-time master’s students who meet the priority deadline will receive partial scholarship offers at time of admission.

Application deadlines for CEAS Graduate Programs for Fall 2024
February 15, 2024: Application deadline for Fall Semester 2024 to be considered for financial aid. No separate application required for financial aid and assistantships.
March 31, 2024: Final deadline for international applicants. Supporting documentation must arrive by April 15, 2024.

MeetAlireza Tadibi | CEAS PhD Class of 2027
Where are you from?My family is from the west side of Iran, a city called Kermanshah, which is mountainous and most of the people are Kurdish. However, I was born and raised in Isfahan which is close to the middle of Iran and hot and dry.
What is your research at CEAS? My research is in mechanical vibrations, specifically in structural dynamics and structural health monitoring. We use a dense grid measurement using laser line projected over a plate-like structure and scan the plate in a line-by-line manner. It is a fully non-contact experiment in terms of both excitation and data capture, which is also through a projected laser. This avoids unwanted mass loading and surface preparation and maintains flexibility.
What are you excited for in the future? I will be presenting at an upcoming conference with the Society of Experimental Mechanics about my work on non-contact photogrammetry-based damage detection for plate-like structures.
