Genuine Student requirement Resources Today, we invited Senior staff from your agency to attend a Genuine Student requirement training. While we have opted for a smaller group for this meeting, rest assured that we remain committed to providing all necessary resources for your recruitment efforts at Charles Sturt University. In this email, we'll re-share some documents previously sent, along with a new document highlighting profiles that align closely with our experience of meeting the Genuine Student requirement. The introduction of the Genuine Student requirement by the Department of Home Affairs requires that all applicants for a student visa must genuinely intend to enter Australia as students, recognising that studying is the primary purpose of their visa. As a result, Charles Sturt University anticipates agents to recruit and submit applications exclusively for students meeting this criterion. The University will assess applicants accordingly. We're glad to offer links to updated resources to assist you in submitting these applications to Charles Sturt. GS Guide - with information about what to look out for when sending applications to Charles Sturt, including what will be required under the new GS requirement.Financial Guidelines for South AsiaGenuine Student requirement guidelinesPositive profiles - indicates characteristics of students who in our experience, are more likely to achieve a positive GS outcome. These documents will also be available in the Studylink platform resources shortly. We're also including useful links to assist you in recuriting students: Admissions Matrix and English language requirements are available on our website.  Scholarships available to international students on-campus 2024   Including the 10%, 25% scholarships and accommodation scholarships.  Accommodation information - remember - we guarantee on-campus accommodation to commencing international students, they'll need apply early! This information is correct as 05/04/2024 and can change - it also varies country by country. Applications for 2025 are now openWe are excited to announce that applications for the 2025 intakes are now open on Studylink!   However, please note that applications for the Bachelor of Dental Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Science are not yet open. This is also available in the Studylink platform resources. Charles Sturt GTE positive profiles: The positive profiles outlined in this guide reflect common characteristics of students on a market specific basis, that in our experience, are most likely to achieve a positive GTE outcome.  This does not mean that students who do not meet all of the outlined characteristics in this guide will not be considered, only that those that do are more likely to receive both a more streamlined assessment and a positive outcome. Admissions Matrix and English language requirements are available on our website.  Scholarships available to international students on-campus 2024   Including the 10%, 25% scholarships and accommodation scholarships.  Accommodation information - remember - we guarantee on-campus accommodation to commencing international students, they'll need apply early! Reminder : The Australian Government has announced that from 1 October 2023, the amount of funds student visa applicants will need to meet the financial capacity requirement will increase. The recommended 12-month living cost for a single student is now AUD$24,505. The Statement of Purpose (SOP) required for the course application at Charles Sturt remains a full SOP. From October 2023 - accepted students at Charles Sturt  will receive a 300-worded SOP Guideline to support their application to the student visa that requires a 300 words SOP.This information is correct as 20/02/2024 and can change - it also varies country by country.
