We would like to remind you that students joining us in January 2024 must create their IT account and fully complete their online pre-registration before they can start their course. Students must complete the following steps to ensure that they are fully registered:

• Step 1: Set up their University email account.

• Step 2: Complete Online Pre-Registration.

• Step 3: Pay their Tuition Fees (this can also be completed within Online Registration).

• Step 4: Attend their in-person Registration Appointment and collect their Student Registration Card.

The University of Essex International College (UEIC) Pre-Sessional English programmes for October 2024 intake are now open for applications.

We are offering seven programmes which will be delivered by UEIC on our Colchester campus and two in-country Pre-Sessional English programmes delivered in China, which are open for applications too.

With Essex’s International Summer School, running from 8-19 July 2024, students will have the chance to study fascinating Undergraduate modules with our expert academics and see first-hand what it’s like to study in a UK university.

The application form, which can be found here, is now open and applications will close on 1 May 2024. Further information about the International Summer School is available on our website.

The Masters Preparation Programme is an online course designed to support students and build their academic skills before they enrol. The programme ensures that students are ready for Postgraduate study and will help them succeed at University.

To enrol, students will need to register with Open Essex and then enrol onto the course. More information about the Masters Preparation Programme can be found on our website.

We are also holding a Pre-Departure webinar for January start students on 5 January 2024. We will provide information on arriving at the University and answer any questions students may have during a live Q&A session.
