RMIT Agent Virtual Training - Translating & Interpreting

Dear Partner,

We invite you to join us for our next agent virtual training webinar which will explore RMIT's postgraduate degrees in Translating & Interpreting.  

This seminar will introduce Australia's oldest and most prestigious translating and interpreting program at RMIT University in Melbourne. Over 50 years, the Program has trained students of all levels in 56 different languages to become translators, community interpreters, and simultaneous conference/business interpreters.

The Program offers three degrees: Master, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate. Students are trained in a fully-equipped interpreting laboratory, and have access to professionally accredited teachers, digital teaching resources, and industry connections. The degrees incorporate industry-orientated projects and assessment, and offer a continuous extra-curricular program of translating and interpreting workshops, professional networking events, and technology familiarisation.

In this seminar, Associate Professor Erika Gonzalez will explain the learning and employment benefits of a postgraduate degree in translating and interpreting, and will introduce participants to the professional field. She is a conference-level simultaneous interpreter with experience in fora like the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meetings.
