Dear Valued Partners, As you are likely aware, on January 22, 2024, Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced a new requirement for the Study Permit application process requiring an additional document called an attestation letter issued by the provincial government. We understand you may have questions about the attestation letter; however, details are yet to be finalized. Rest assured the University of Manitoba will be working closely with the Government of Manitoba to ensure compliance. This process is expected to be in place by March 31, 2024. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the new requirement. As more information becomes available, we will share it with you in an expedient manner. Upcoming Application DeadlinesThe fall application deadline for high school students applying via the direct entry route is March 1. High school students applying to the fall term by March 1st will automatically be considered for entrance scholarships. Application deadlines for transfer students applying via the advanced entry route vary by program. Visit umanitoba.ca/applynow for complete details.
