This course is designed for speech and language therapists/pathologists, linguists, psychologists and other professionals with a relevant background and special interest in Speech Sound Disorders and their link to literacy difficulties. You can study part-time by distance learning or full-time. You’ll develop your knowledge and skills of evidence-based practice so that you can effectively support people with developmental speech and literacy difficulties. You'll explore conditions such as phonological impairment or disorder, childhood apraxia of speech/developmental verbal dyspraxia and speech difficulties associated with cleft palate. The MSc will provide you with an up-to-date understanding of the main theoretical and clinical issues and approaches in this field and the implications of these findings for clinical intervention.
