At Nottingham, we go beyond a love of books. Here, you will study in the city that was home to Lord Byron, DH Lawrence and Alan Sillitoe. Our students benefit from access to special collections and the expertise of academics based in the Centre for Regional Literature and Culture, the Institute for Name Studies, the Centre for the Study of the Viking Age, and the Institute for Medieval Research. We will introduce you to our core subject-areas within English studies and explore the relationship between texts and their historical, cultural and social contexts. Our optional module selection means you can tailor your degree to what interests you the most, or even specialise in several areas at once
