This course covers the history of Scotland, Europe, India, Africa, and North America, from medieval times to the present day. It draws on the activity of our research clusters in global history, Scottish history, and public history. You'll be able to study political, cultural, military, economic, and social history. You can explore different historical issues including social justice, and topics such as crime and policing, or the historical study of crime fiction and forensics, which cross over with other academic departments. You will also gain specialist skills to enhance your employability. For example, we offer documentary making. As part of our public history theme, you'll have the opportunity to write a script for a historical documentary, or to film a short documentary.
