Hi Fangcheng, We are accepting applications for accommodation now. You are guaranteed an offer of a room in halls of residence if you make an application before midnight on Wednesday 3 June. This guarantee does not apply to students who are applying for couples or family accommodation. Ready to apply? If you submit your application before Thursday 30 April, you will receive an offer of accommodation in May. Need more time? If you make an application between Friday 1 May and Wednesday 3 June, you will still be guaranteed an offer of accommodation and can expect to receive your accommodation offer in June. If you apply after midnight Wednesday 3 June (UK time), you will be allocated a room subject to availability. You can find more information about how and when accommodation offers will be made on our website. You will need your student ID number to register with the system and make an application, which is 100951245. We understand that you may have concerns about the coming few weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak. We want to reassure you that the university is closely monitoring the outbreak and is following advice from Public Health England and the National Health Service (NHS). 主题：Your Brunel University London Application (2013239) - Next Steps Dear Fangcheng Brunel Student ID: 2013239Course:MSc Water Engineering Department: Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering We are really pleased that you have chosen to accept your offer from Brunel University London and look forward to welcoming you as a Brunel student soon. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? The conditions of your offer are as follows: Pass your degree with average mark of 70% or above. Obtain a score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any section in an IELTS test or an equivalent English language qualification, or attend and successfully complete a Brunel English Language course (please note there is an additional fee for this course, information can be found at https://www.brunel.ac.uk/international/language-centre). Provide a deposit of £3000 or evidence of approved sponsorship or a scholarship at a value of £3000 (this does not include a scholarship awarded by Brunel University London). This is required prior to issue of a Confirmation of Acceptance of Study (CAS) Number. Details on how to pay the deposit can be found at http://www.brunel.ac.uk/international/fees-and-funding/making-a-payment. The deposit will be deducted from your tuition fees. In the event of a visa refusal, the deposit will be fully refunded if you supply a copy of the official refusal letter. Please consult the Admissions Policy (below) for full details of the refund policy. To register on the course you will be required to provide evidence of approved sponsorship or pay a total of 60% of the course fee for this academic year (including your deposit payment). You must complete a Length of Study form which can be found at http://www.formstack.com/forms/brunel-Length_of_Study. This is so that we can check whether your previous UK study history will meet the restrictions, set by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), on the maximum length of time a student can study in the UK with a Tier 4 (General) student visa. For further information please refer to the Tier 4 Policy Guidance on the UKVI website. Provide a copy of your current valid Passport. If you currently have permission to enter/remain in the UK, please provide a copy of your current UK visa. Please let us know if there have there been any changes in the qualifications you are taking that may mean you will be unable to meet this offer, as it is written above. HOW DO I CONFIRM MY PLACE AT BRUNEL? As soon as you have evidence that you have met your conditions, you should provide this to the Admissions Office by uploading copies of your evidence to your 'my Applications' portal. If your documents are not in English, please provide a certified translation along with a copy of the original document. Please note, we will need to see the original versions of your academic certificates before you can register with the University (including those listed in your application as 'Already Achieved'), but we can confirm your place based on a copy of your results and you can bring your originals with you in September - please do not send original documents in the post as they can become lost. We will then contact you by email to confirm your place You will also be able to see the status of your offer convert to Unconditional (U) on your 'my Applications' portal What happens if I don't get the grades I need? If you don't get the correct grades, please do still provide a copy of your results to the Admissions Office. As you have accepted our offer we will make every effort to accept you with the grades you achieve, although this will depend on both course availability and the actual grades you achieve. We will discuss your situation with the Academic Admissions Tutor responsible for your course and inform you of their decision as soon as we are able. What happens if I do not have all my results by the deadline stated in my Offer email? Sometimes students may still be waiting for their results when their deadline arrives. This might be because the results have not yet been published. If this is your situation then please contact the Admissions Office to inform us. We may be able to hold your place open for a little longer, or offer you an alternative start date. What if I’ve changed my mind? If you have accepted your offer but have now changed your mind, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. ONCE MY OFFER HAS BEEN MADE UNCONDITIONAL, WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO BEFORE I JOIN MY COURSE? Apply for your Tier 4 (General) Visa Once you have met all the conditions of your offer, we will issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) which you should use to make your visa application. Further guidance will be sent to you when your CAS is issued. Apply for Accommodation (if required) The Accommodation Office may have already contacted you by letter or email to explain the accommodation options available to you at the Brunel campus. If not, please visit the Accommodation Office website https://www.brunel.ac.uk/life/accommodation to complete an online preference form or call them on 01895 267900. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO? Complete your online Registration task Information will be sent to you about this once you have met the conditions of your offer, during the month before you are due to commence your studies. Make sure you have a passport If you don't already have one, you will need to get a passport before you register with the University. A passport is needed to confirm your identity and other forms of ID, except EU Identification cards, will not be accepted. If you need to send your passport away for any reason (e.g. to the Student Loans Company) please take a certified copy first and bring this with you to registration. If you are unable to get a passport please contact the Admissions Office before coming to register at the University. Provide evidence of your qualifications When you come to register on your course you must bring your original certificates/transcripts confirming the final grade in your highest qualification (as detailed in your Offer email). Copies will not be accepted for registration purposes. Ensure your Contact Details are up to date To be sure that we can contact you with everything you need to know, please inform us of any changes in your contact details. If you have moved house, changed your telephone number or your email address, please update your details by logging into your Brunel 'my Applications' portal and editing the ‘Personal Details’ section. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Joining your course As a non-UK student, you may wish to join our free International Orientation Programme prior to the start of your course. More details about this and our airport welcome service will be provided during the month before you start your course. Main Registration will begin on Sunday 13 September 2020 and we would encourage you to complete your registration during the early part of this week.
