NEW: Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)

Applications for February 2026 Open!

We are delighted to be launching the Master of Professional Accounting (level 9) programme at NMIT. This programme is designed for students who wish to accelerate their career in accounting and become chartered accountants with professional accounting bodies: Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) or Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA Australia).

Key details (pending NZQA approval):

·      Upcoming intake: 23 February 2026

·      180 credits, 18-month programme

·      Includes opportunity for internship with a local organisation as part of the programme

·      Entry criteria: A recognised bachelor’s degree or higher; and English language proficiency of IELTS (academic) 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0, or NZQA approved equivalent.

·      Indicative 2026 tuition fee (full programme): Expected to be between NZ$37,272 and NZ$40,000.

While we are awaiting final NZQA approval for this programme, we are already welcoming applications for the first intake (February 2026) and will provide offers with priority for those that apply first. Please submit your applications via email to NMIT’s International Enrolments team at international@nmit.ac.nz using our international application form and attaching relevant supporting documents. Offers will be issued as soon as NZQA approval is granted.
