Dear partner,
Following our introduction of Enroly CAS Shield, we wanted to outline the key steps in the process, as well as some practical tips to help you support your students effectively.
1. Student invitation and account set-up
The September 2026 intake will open on Monday 5 May. Students with an unconditional firm offer will receive an email invitation to make a CAS application via Enroly CAS Shield on this date.
Other students with a conditional offer will receive this email after they go unconditional and accept their offer.
Tip: Encourage students to activate their account as soon as possible to avoid delays later in the process.
2. Encourage your students to pay the £5,000 tuition fee deposit
If your students are required to pay a deposit, they should do this as soon as possible to avoid delays in issuing their CAS.
Tip: Students can pay the deposit after they've submitted their CAS application, but we will prioritise processing applications of students that have paid their deposit so it's best they do it as soon as possible.
3. Complete the CAS application
Students must confirm or amend all student information fields required as part of the CAS application in Enroly CAS Shield.
Tip: Ensure your students complete the application in full.
4. Document upload
Students upload required documents such as passports, academic certificates and financial evidence to support their CAS application.
Tip: Ask students to upload clear, complete, and correctly certified documents to minimise rejections and resubmissions.
5. Compliance checks
The university will review the completed CAS application and complete all necessary compliance checks. These checks include assessing credibility interviews and financial evidence.
Tip: Regularly monitor student progress and follow up quickly on any 'action required' updates to avoid delays.
6. CAS issuance
Once an applicant is CAS ready, the CAS will be issued to the student by email. They can then use the CAS number to make their visa application.
Tip: Ensure student details are accurate before the CAS is issued, as amendments can cause delays.
7. Submit visa application (not through Enroly)
Students can then use their CAS number to submit their visa application outside of Enroly CAS Shield.
Tip: Encourage students to apply for their visa promptly after receiving their CAS.
8. Pre-arrival
Ensure applicants update their CAS Shield profile with the progress of their visa application, the visa application decision (once received), and provide their arrival details once travel is booked.
Tip: Remind students to regularly check Enroly for updates and complete any final tasks on time.
You will have full visibility of your students' progress throughout, enabling you to step-in and provide support where needed.
