we're delighted to let you know that applications for our Postgraduate Pre-sessional English Programme (PGPEP) are now open.

The Postgraduate Pre-sessional English Programme is aimed at students who are looking to improve their English language skills in preparation for a postgraduate degree programme at university.

The programme runs from mid-September to early May, across 25 taught weeks, and there are two entry points – one in September and one in January. The entry point that is best suited for students will depend on their current level of English and that required for their intended postgraduate degree programme.

Edinburgh is the perfect place for students to broaden their academic and cultural horizons as one of the world's top 30 universities (27th in the 2025 QS World University* rankings). Students will benefit from world-class academic teaching and access to all University of Edinburgh services and facilities whilst immersing themselves in the vibrant capital city.
