英-埃塞克斯大学-24年10月新课程发布事宜

An urgent reminder that student joining in January 2024 must create their IT account and fully complete their online pre-registration and in-person checks before they can begin their course.

In this newsletter, you will find details of the following:

• October 2024 application deadlines

• Two new Edge Hotel School courses introduced for October 2024

• New LLM International Criminal Law course introduced for October 2024

• Professor Michaela Benzeval at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at Essex awarded CBE

We would like to announce the official deadlines for October 2024 Postgraduate applications.

For Postgraduate applicants requiring a Student Visa, the deadlines are as follows:

• 1 July 2024 - Application deadline

• 8 August 2024 - Meet conditions 

• 30 May 2024 - Deposit deadline (for applicants confirmed on or before 16 May)

• 15 August 2024 - Deposit deadline (for applicants confirmed after 16 May)

For Postgraduate applicants not requiring a Student Visa:

• 2 September 2024 - Application deadline

• 12 September 2024 - Meet conditions 

We have also extended the deadline for April 2024 Postgraduate Research applications. Applicants requiring a Student Visa must submit their application by 16 February 2024 and non-Student Visa applicants must submit by 15 March 2024.

The Edge Hotel School is excited to launch two new programmes in October 2024, BA Tourism and FdA Tourism.

For students interested in working within the tourism industry in the future, this degree offers valuable work experience, industry connections, and guidance from experienced academics across various sectors.

In the first year of BA Tourism, students will work various rotations in Wivenhoe House, a 4* country house hotel on campus. In their final two years, students will work with companies such as Visit Essex, Colchester Castle and other tourism organisations.

The Essex Law School has introduced a brand new course LLM International Criminal Law for October 2024 entry. 

This course offers students a concentrated opportunity to study with leading experts in International Criminal Law, combining practical and academic expertise. Students will study issues related to international justice and preventing impunity, and delve into specialist modules covering substantive and procedural aspects of international criminal law and transnational criminal law.
