I am delighted to provide preliminary information about our upcoming programmes for the International Summer School 2024.   

This year we are excited to introduce new programmes such as Project Management and Healthcare Physiology within our International Summer School along with favourites such  as our Sustainability Summer Programme; we are as excited as ever to welcome international students to the University of Exeter over the summer.   

Following the success of our International  Summer School programme last year and the positive feedback we received, the plan is to continue with the slightly longer schedule. As last year,  our programme will run across four weeks and include 5 days in London at the start of the programme to set the scene with some academic non-credit bearing modules, the chance to explore the capital, and get to know people from all over the world in a relaxed  atmosphere.  The dates will be Tuesday 2^nd  July 2024 through to Monday 29^th  July 2024, with the 2^nd  through to the 6^th  taking place in London and transferring to Exeter on Sunday 7^th  July 2024.   

This year, we are offering eleven fully accredited courses across our three faculties in the following areas:   

·       Adapting  Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to Improve Access to Psychological Therapies 

·       British  Cultures 

·       Contract Law 

·       Healthcare  Physiology 

·       How  Can STEM Support Sustainability: The Sustainability Summer Programme 

·       Human  Rights Law 

·       International  Relations: Security, Conflict & Peace 

·       Preventative  Medicine: Exercise & the Environment 

·       Project Management  

·       Rethinking  Shakespeare: Beyond the Bard 

·       Victorian  Decadents, Degenerates, Goths and Global Citizens 

Alongside our engaging academic programme on campus, several of our courses offer field trips and practical workshops.  Students will have the opportunity to work together  in groups on projects to provide a true international perspective on their work.  Outside  of the academic programme, we provide a fun filled chance for everyone to explore both the local area of Exeter and Devon, as well as further afield in the UK during our social activities.  

The full programme fee for the 4-week course is £3,750 and includes the following elements: 

·       Accommodation 

·       All programme transport from the meeting point on arrival day to the airport transfer on departures day 

·       All aspects of the academic programme, including registration, transcripts and all field trips 

·       Full ISS team support both on campus and in London 

·       Our social programme 

Independently of the International Summer School, the University of Exeter is also offering the international ‘Technology  Entrepreneurship Bootcamp’. (TEB). TEB provides an opportunity for innovators and creative thinkers to experience developing & launching a business. In 5 days, students will form a team, develop, launch and pitch a startup to real international investors, alongside Exeter’s  leading engineers, entrepreneurs and technologists.  TEB is run independently of the International Summer School team, led by our entrepreneurial Department of Engineering - full details can be found on their  webpage and by emailing TEBbootcamp@exeter.ac.uk.
