As our final intake for 2025 fast approaches, we’re pleased to share with you our key updates at Flinders. This edition covers exciting developments including recognition of IELTS One Skill Retake and changes to our English language requirements for nursing and midwifery programs, courses available for our October intake and their key dates, Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships (50% tuition reduction) updates, and special student accommodation offers from The Switch. |
English Language Requirements Update: IELTS One Skill Retake and changes to Nursing and Midwifery |
Flinders University has officially approved the use of IELTS One Skill Retake to meet the English language requirements for admission purposes for all of our courses. This positive update provides students with more flexibility and convenience in choosing a subjective test that will suit their needs.
Additionally, we have recently updated our English language requirements for nursing and midwifery courses to stay in line with AHPRA registration requirements.
These changes are effective immediately, which includes applications for our October, 2025 intake.

Apply quick, our October, 2025 intake is filling up fast!
Students can start studying this October at Flinders in selected Business, Social Work, or Information Technology courses. With flexible mid-year entry, students can begin sooner, gain expert teaching in high-demand fields, and potentially save on visa fees before they rise in 2026. This intake is extended to both new applicants, and existing applicants who missed the July commencement. For more information or support, please contact our International Admissions team. |

Our last intake for 2025 is right around the corner so we ask that you please take the time to review the key October, 2025 dates — including application, acceptance, payment, and CoE deadlines.

Flinders' Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships recognise students of the highest academic and community-minded calibre with a 50% reduction in tuition fees for eligible students for the duration of their course.
This scholarship is part of our suite of Flinders Go Beyond Scholarships, which are designed to recognise international students with high academic performance and the potential to make a positive contribution to Flinders and the global community.
