With Study Period 2 and Semester 2 fast approaching, we're excited to share some important updates and news with you, as well as highlight upcoming key dates. |
Scholarship Update - New Eligible Programs for 2026 and 2027 |
Flinders University is excited to announce that the below courses, that were previously excluded from scholarship eligibility, are now included.
From Semester 2, 2026: From Semester 1, 2027: Master of Speech Pathology Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics Master of Audiology Bachelor of Health Sciences (Vision Science) Master of Optometry Bachelor of Midwifery (Preregistration)
This update provides expanded opportunities for high quality applicants to access financial support across a broader range of health and allied health disciplines.
Please note that the new offers will be reissued shortly to eligibile students to reflect applicable scholarship entitlements. We kindly ask that you review your current applicant pipeline and advised impacted students accordingly.

Master Of Teaching Programs - Mid-Year 2026 Intake Now OPEN! |
We are pleased to advise that the Master of Teaching (Primary) and Master of Teaching (Secondary) are now available for a mid-year (July) 2026 intake at our Bedford Park campus.
This additional intake provides greater flexibility for students who may have missed earlier application rounds or are seeking alternative commencement options in 2026.
Applications are open for international students and can be submitted via StudyLink. We encourage you to begin promoting these programs to suitable candidates and support them in lodging applications as soon as possible.
We look forward to working with you to support prospective students for this new intake. |
Removal of Teaching Capability Statement from Semester 1, 2027 |
Teaching Capabilities Statement (TCS) is no longer a requirement at Flinders University for the following courses from Semester 1, 2027: BECEB Bachelor of Early Childhood Education - Birth to 5 BECE Bachelor of Early Childhood Education - Birth to 8 BEDPR Bachelor of Education (Primary) BEDIE Bachelor of Education (Inclusive Education) BEDSEC Bachelor of Education (Secondary) BEDSHPE Bachelor of Education (Secondary Health and Physical Education) MTEC Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) MTB Master of Teaching (Birth to 5) MTS Master of Teaching (Secondary) MTSA Master of Teaching (Secondary) MTPR Master of Teaching (Primary) MTPRA Master of Teaching (Primary)
Offers will be reissued to the applicants who have met all other requirements except TCS soon. We request you to please disseminate this information to your team of counsellors across different offices and also to students interested in these courses. |

Midyear is right around the corner so we ask that you please take the time to review the key Semester 2 and Study Period 2, 2026 dates — including application, acceptance, payment, and CoE deadlines.
