Maximise Student Options: Semester 2 and October 2025 Intakes |
As we enter the second half of 2025, students have two intake options that provide flexibility for their study plans.
Semester 2 – A Fresh Start Perfect for students unable to join in Semester 1, this intake offers a wide range of courses and the chance to dive into studies without waiting another year.
October Intake – A Hidden Gem for 2025 Though smaller, the October intake offers great perks. Students benefit from more accommodation availability with less competition and better housing options, as well as cheaper airfares during the off-peak travel season. Limited spots are available for both intakes so it’s important for students to decide as soon as possible. Your guidance as education agents can help them secure the best start for their academic journey. |
Course Spotlight: Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) |
Flinders' Laboratory Medicine course is an exciting specialisation that builds on the Bachelor of Medical Science degree and covers areas such as haematology and transfusion science, microbiology, genetics, immunology, virology, biochemistry, molecular biology and more.
Course highlights: - Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS) accredited course on skill shortage list.
- Two 13-week placements, equating to approximately 900 hours of laboratory placement in the fourth year of the degree, allowing students to apply their learning in a full-time capacity to a diagnostic pathology laboratory environment.
- Opportunity to study in the only Teaching hospital in South Australia – Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).

Student Success: Timely Visa Submissions |
At Flinders University, we’ve noticed that some student visa applications are being submitted several weeks after the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) has been issued. This delay can lead to tight processing times, potentially preventing students from receiving their visas on time and impacting their ability to start their studies as scheduled.
To prevent delays, we strongly encourage agents to prepare visa documents in advance and submit applications immediately after receiving the CoE for timely processing and approval.
Why it matters: - Avoid Delays: Allows enough time for visa processing.
- Better Student Experience: Ensures a smooth, stress-free start to studies.
- Streamlined Process: Reduces complications and improves efficiency.
We appreciate your efforts in helping students navigate their visa applications. Together, we can ensure a seamless start to every student's academic journey. |
