Greetings from Glasgow! We hope this finds you well.
2026 is a special year for the University of Glasgow, marking 575 years since the founding of the University in 1451. During this landmark year the University of Glasgow, today a world top 100 university, will reflect on centuries of impact locally, nationally and internationally, celebrating the achievements that inspire future world-changers to deliver the breakthroughs of tomorrow.
We are reaching out today to share some key updates and details of upcoming information sessions where prospective world-changers can learn more about specific programmes and student life at the University of Glasgow, as well as our bespoke agent webinars where you can find out more yourself about the topics that matter. |
Improvements for UofG in the THE Subject Rankings |
Eight out of eleven subject areas taught at the University of Glasgow are now ranked in the world top 100 in the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
This includes two subjects, Psychology (41st) and Medical and Health (48th), which rank in the world top 50.
Other subject areas in the world top 100 include Arts & Humanities (60), Law (63) and Life Sciences (71).
The University is very pleased with these results, and believe that they highlight both the strength and breadth of research and teaching at the University of Glasgow.

From gender, slavery, and inequality, to warfare, gaming, and politics; our expert academics’ research spans centuries and crosses the globe, enabling students the opportunity to tailor their degrees to their interests, whilst equipping them with the skills necessary to become world changers, successful in their careers. |
