We are pleased to share that Griffith University has achieved outstanding results in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which measure universities’ contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We have jumped 20 places in the global rankings, now standing at equal fourth out of 2,318 participating universities, making us:

#1 in Queensland
equal 2nd nationally
equal 4th globally.

Our performance across many individual SDGs has also seen significant improvement, and we now rank #1 in Australia for SDGs 6 (clean water and sanitation), 7 (affordable and clean energy), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 14 (life below water) and 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions) reflecting our deep commitment to environmental sustainability, social justice and global impact.
