In the very first King's Express in 2024, we'd like to bring you the good news on King's Scholarships for IoPPN, our excellent Summer Schools, as well as the updates on King's Pre-Sessional English courses.

IoPPN Scholarships

The IoPPN (Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience) is delighted to announce theirscholarships for students applying for 2024/25 entry.

• Value: £5000 each, paid towards the fees via an internal transfer within the university, open to home and international students
  

• Separate scholarship application form needed after applying for the chosen programme
  

• Deadline for the scholarship applications for academic year 2024/2025 is Friday, 23rd February 2024 (17:00 UK time).
  

• Successful applicants will be notified of the decision on their scholarship application by Friday, 15th March 2024.
  

• A full list of the eligible programmes can be referred to here. The two new courses (MSc Psychology and Neuroscience of Mind-Body Interface & MSc Clinical Psychotherapy) are open and also eligible for scholarships.

King's Summer Schools

Drawing on our expertise and research, King's offer a broad curriculum of modules in Business, Law, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences & Public Policy, Life Sciences & Medicine, and Psychology & Neuroscience.

• Our Pre-University Summer School for studentsage 16 and above is to prepare them for study at university and get a deeper understanding of subject areas of their choice.

• The Undergraduate Summer School  focuses on experiential research-based teaching through workshops, seminars and lectures tailored for undergraduate students currently studying at other universities.

Pre-sessional English

• We will be offering Pre-sessional English forUndergraduate and Postgraduate separatelythis year. The applications are already open.

• Dates: A full list of application deadlines and course start date can be found on thewebsite.

• Visa: Pre-sessional programmes with on-campus teaching (16-week Undergraduate or Postgraduate Combined, 11-week Undergraduate or Postgraduate On-Campus, 6-week Undergraduate or Postgraduate On-Campus): students will require both a Student visa for the Pre-sessional programme itself and a Student visa for the main degree programme. All students will require a secure English language test (SELT). Pre-sessional programmes without on-campus teaching (11-week Online, 6-week Online): students will only require one Student visa, for the main degree programme, not Pre-sessional programme.
