Dear Partner,I hope you had a well-deserved break and have returned refreshed from Easter. With Session 1 well and truly underway, Macquarie University celebrated some incredible milestones and achievements. Firstly, Macquarie celebrated its place in the global top 20 subjects (Philosophy) while continuing its upward trajectory across multiple areas. These results show an amazing level of commitment and collaboration across the university and I extend heartfelt congratulations to all involved. In addition to the rankings, Macquarie University’s new marvel, the state-of-the-art Engineering Innovation Building, opened its doors with its sights set on a path for world-class teaching, research and innovation to solve real-world challenges. Located on Macquarie's Ryde Campus, the new building houses the Faculty of Science and Engineering, sharing this holistic space with the Australian Astronomical Optics (AAO). Innovation is the doorway to a better world and the Macquarie Incubator has a number of student programs designed to complement any disciplinary knowledge by fostering and developing a student’s confidence in pursuing a self-determined pathway. It is a wonderful, supportive environment to put your students on the fast track to entrepreneurial success. One of the most exciting features of our curriculum is the ability to study two degrees at once. If you have students interested in pursuing this option, you can have their questions answered by joining us for our Partner Engagement Series webinar, Double Master's Degree Showcase, on Wednesday, 8 April 2026 at 4pm (AEST – Sydney time). As always, I look forward to our continued work to address the many challenges and opportunities ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Country Manager.
