Dear Valued Partners,

Warm greetings from the University of Nottingham Malaysia. I hope this message finds you well.

We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the EMGS visa processing fees, following a recent realignment announced by EMGS. In line with these changes, the University of Nottingham Malaysia will be adjusting its visa-related fees to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality services and to cover the actual cost of visa processing.

Effective 1 July 2025, all applicants who have accepted our offer and are proceeding with their visa applications will be subject to the new fee structure as outlined below:

Important Notes:

·         All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and inclusive of 8% SST.

·         The visa processing fee includes post-arrival medical screening (one time), student pass sticker, visa issuance, processing fee, and insurance coverage. **Students who are issued a three-year visa for their Undergraduate will be required to pay the I-Kad and insurance coverage fee (as charged) for the subsequent years.

·         Students enrolled in Pre-Sessional English will receive a one-year visa. Upon progression, they will need to renew their visa annually at RM 1,400 per year. This will include their i-kad and insurance coverage.

·         ¹ Most undergraduate students will be granted a three-year visa, though some may receive a one-year visa depending on immigration discretion. In such cases, students will need to renew their visa in subsequent years at the applicable renewal fee.

·         For undergraduate students granted only a one-year visa, no partial refund of the initial visa fee will be issued. Visa duration is determined solely by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and is beyond the University's control.

·         Should a student withdraw from their programme without using the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to enter Malaysia, the visa processing fee paid to EMGS is non-refundable. However, the RM 2,000 visa deposit may be refunded upon formal written request to the Visa Office.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership. Should you require any further clarification or assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Warmest regards,
