Our new world-class buildings are now open
Our three new buildings, Langsett, Redmires and Strines, offer world-class teaching, learning and research facilities. They
include new homes for Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Institute of
Law and Justice, Sheffield Institute of Social Sciences and
Architecture. The
buildings have been designed with modern study in mind. Inside, you’ll
find flexible digital-ready learning spaces, social areas and places to
eat and drink. Outside, there are two rooftop gardens where students can
relax and unwind between classes. Hallam
Green links our three new buildings together, acting as a vibrant space
for the whole university community to enjoy. It features more than 400
square meters of greenery, 25 new trees and spaces for up to 150 people
to sit and relax. It is also a public art space with twenty light boxes
host a rotating series of temporary artworks, which will showcase the
work of our students and bring contemporary art to the public.
