Our pre-sessional English language courses improve the English language skills of students and help students develop their academic skills to prepare them for study at degree level.
In daily teaching sessions at our vibrant city campus, students will focus on key areas such as critical thinking, academic writing, referencing and citation, and study skills.
Our small groups of approximately sixteen students allow our highly experienced and well qualified staff to give individual support, so students gain the confidence to study independently in the future.
Our pre-sessional courses have final exams in reading, listening, reading into writing, individual presentation and small group speaking. If students improve their skills to match the entry requirements, they will get an unconditional offer for their chosen Sheffield Hallam University degree course.
Our pre-sessional courses are accredited by the British Council.
