Summer School Update

We’re  pleased to announce new details about our Continuous Professional  Development workshops, as part of Southampton Summer School 2024. These 5  sessions will be provided by the University of Southampton Careers  department, designed to give information and advice on the best way to  navigate the job market in the UK. Like all Social Programme content,  these workshops are included as part of the Summer School tuition fee  meaning there is no extra cost to attend!
 
The sessions we are hosting this summer will be:

• Getting to know the UK job market for international graduates – An overview of the UK job market, graduate hiring timelines and job search techniques that work well

• LinkedIn for global candidates – How to utilise LinkedIn for career research, networking and job search

• CVs & applications (UK jobs for international graduates) –  Tailoring CVs and Resumes for specific jobs and UK job application  methods (covering competency and strengths-based recruitment)

• Career planning –  Techniques for robust career planning, dynamic decision making and  maintaining resilience in job markets with visa restrictions

• Q&A, student led session –  When you register for this session, you will be asked to submit  requests for any content that would like covered in the field of careers

GREAT Scholarships at the University of Southampton

The University of Southampton is delighted to announce that the prestigious British Council GREAT Scholarships are open for applicants from a number of eligible countries.  The awards cover £10,000 issued as a fee discount as well as networking opportunities with GREAT scholars throughout the UK.

GREAT Scholarships – Bangladesh
Available for any 1-year Master’s within the Faculty of Medicine
 
GREAT Scholarships – Greece
Available for MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Analytics and MSc Strategic Operations and Supply Chain Management
 
GREAT Scholarships – India
Available  for MSc Economics, MSc Actuarial Sciences, MSc Optical Engineering and  any 1-year taught Master’s within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
 
GREAT Scholarships – Mexico
Available for any 1-year taught Master’s within the Faculty of Medicine or Faculty of Arts and Humanities
 
GREAT Scholarships – Nigeria
MSc Education or any 1-year taught Master’s within Faculty of Arts and Humanities
 
GREAT Scholarships for Justice & Law – Indonesia
Any 1-year taught LLM programme
