We’re excited to share a suite of enhancements to our business taught master’s programmes due to launch in Semester 1, 2026. These updates are designed to meet evolving industry needs and better support student aspirations.

Updated programme

Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS)

  • Students will be able to major in one of two in-demand areas:

    • Business Analytics

    • Technology Management

  • These new majors give students more targeted career pathways

  • Remains open to students from any background

  • February and July intakes | 17-month duration

Next steps: MBIS changes are subject to CUAP and TEC approval (expected by November). Students can then add the new majors — there is no need to reissue offers as the qualification remains the same.

New programmes

Master of Financial Analysis (MFinA)

  • Replaces the current Financial Management major in the Master of Business

  • A cutting-edge programme for students who want to pursue a career in finance

  • Open to students from any background with numerical aptitude

  • February intake | 17-month duration

Why MFinA?

  • Closely aligned with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) curriculum

  • Strong focus on fintech preparing students for today’s tech-driven finance landscape

  • Industry-relevant content including compulsory courses on ‘Current topics in Finance’ and ‘Professional Development for Finance’

  • Option to do an industry project in the final semester

Next steps: MFinA is fully approved and will open for new enrolments soon. Applicants with existing offers for the MBus in Financial Management will be contacted directly to update their offers.

Master of Business Management (MBM)

  • Replaces and builds upon the current Management major in the Master of Business

  • A strengthened focus on applied management, including an additional project-based course, ‘Evidence Based Management,’ and a new international business course

  • Remains open to students from any background

  • February and July intakes | 17-month duration

Next steps: MBM is subject to CUAP and TEC approval (expected by November). Students can apply now for the MBus in Management, with offers to be updated once the new programme receives final approval. If applying for a visa earlier under the MBus, students will be required to apply for a Variation of Conditions (VOC) once the new offer is issued. The VOC fee is eligible for reimbursement by UC.

UC Business School International Student Awards

All three programmes are eligible for the UC Business School Dean’s Award and Southeast Asia Award (valued at $6,000). No separate application necessary — students are automatically considered once offers are issued. More details here.
