Applications are now open for the September 2026 intake of the UQ College Foundation Program. This program helps students meet academic entry requirements for UQ and adjust to life in Australia.

Students can package the Foundation Program with their preferred undergraduate program at UQ. Entry is conditional on academic results and English level.

Start date: 7 September 2026 
UQ entry for: Semester 1, 2027 (Accelerated) or Semester 2, 2027 (Standard)

From 1 September 2025, applications for the UQ College Foundation Program will be managed by The University of Queensland’s Future Students and Admissions team.

This change will streamline processes and provide a more efficient experience for both agents and students. There are no changes to the application submission process.

The Master of Finance and Investment Management was launched at the start of 2024 and is available as a one-year program. Students applying for this program must meet specific entry requirements:

• GMAT score
• Higher-than-minimum IELTS score
• Relevant bachelor honours degree (or equivalent)
• Work experience, depending on prior qualifications

The Faculty of Science is offering 3 scholarships for international students commencing in 2026. These scholarships aim to support high-achieving students across a range of science programs.

• Science International Scholarships – Valued at A$5,000 for students commencing approved Faculty of Science programs in Semester 1, 2026. Applications close: 17 November 2025
• Science Global Ambassador Scholarships – China – Valued at A$10,000 for citizens and residents of mainland China commencing eligible Science programs in Semester 1, 2026. Applications close: 17 November 2025
• Master of Quantum Technology Scholarship – Covers 50% of tuition fees for outstanding international students commencing the Master of Quantum Technology in Semester 2, 2026. Applications close: 1 June 2026
