| The admissions process for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) for international students has been revised for the 2027 intake onwards. Key updates From 2027, international admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) will follow a structured and competitive selection process based on both academic and non-academic performance. International applicants (excluding Year 12 students in Australia applying via QTAC) must apply by 30 September in the year prior to commencement. Applications will be assessed through multiple offer rounds, expected to take place in early to middle October and late December to early January. Applicants must submit all required documentation by the relevant offer round. Only complete applications will be considered for ranking in that round. Please note that the timing of offer rounds is indicative only and may change. Selection of applicants Selection is based on an applicant's Combined Final Selection Index (CFSI), which is calculated by adding: - Academic performance (60%), based on the adjusted ATAR or tertiary study selection rank
- Non-academic performance (40%), based on the Casper Test score
Applicants are ranked according to their CFSI and offers are made in rank order until all available places are filled. The lowest ATAR/tertiary selection rank and Casper Test score held by applicants who receive an offer, may vary each year, depending on the competitiveness of the applicant cohort. Indicative ATAR/tertiary selection ranks are published on the UQ Study website. Casper (SJT) 2026/2027 test dates Applicants must also complete a situational judgement test called the Casper test in the year of application.
