The acceptance deadline for Semester 2, 2026 varies by market to allow sufficient time for visa processing.

• For applicants from India, South Asia, Latin America and Africa (offshore): 5pm AEST, Monday 8 June 2026
• For applicants from China, North Asia, South East Asia, Europe and North America (offshore): 5pm AEST, Friday 26 June 2026
• For onshore applicants: 5pm AEST, Friday 31 July 2026

All students are expected to arrive in Australia with enough time to commence classes by the program start date specified on their offer letter, and we recommend arriving 2 weeks ahead of Orientation Week (20-24 July 2026) to settle into accommodation and adjust to life on campus.

We acknowledge that some students may face unexpected circumstances that affect their ability to arrive on time. Students who experience delays beyond their control will be permitted to arrive up until 7 August (end of Week 2), provided they:

• have completed their course enrolment 
• arrive on campus ready to attend classes from the beginning of Week 3.

Students arriving late are responsible for contacting their Faculty to confirm their course enrolment and keep up with study content. Please note that late arrival does not qualify students for assessment extensions.

Some programs are not eligible for late arrival due to specific academic or professional requirements.

UQ College late arrivals

For Foundation Program Intake 2, 2026 (start date 7 September 2026), the latest permitted arrival date is 21 September 2026.
 
Bridging English students may arrive up to one week after the official start of their program.
 
Any late arrival must be advised by email as soon as possible to admissions@uqcollege.uq.edu.au.

UQ offers an International Student Airport Welcome and Shuttle Service to support new international students arriving in Brisbane.

Our Welcome Crew will be available at Brisbane Airport (International Terminal) from Sunday 5 July – Sunday 26 July 2026 to assist students as they arrive. Look for the UQ signs at the terminal if students need help or have questions.

UQ also provides complimentary 24/7 airport pickups for new international students arriving for the first time between 5-26 July 2026, at both the International and Domestic Terminals. Students can request a pickup by completing the online form and should do so at least 24 hours before arrival.

When submitting a request, students will need to provide details such as:

• full name
• student number
• flight details
• (For U18s) Confirmation of Enrolment and CAAW.

Please note that the transport provider may charge additional fees for accompanying family or non‑commencing students. Full details are outlined in the online form.

Complimentary pickup is not available outside the specified dates or for returning international students or domestic students.
