Empowering your recruitment efforts with the latest updates

Dear valued partner

This month, we are excited to share some exciting stories and updates with you. Our recent visits to China and Papua New Guinea have been fruitful, strengthening our international partnerships and fostering greater collaboration across borders.

We also celebrate our research excellence, showcasing groundbreaking work that continues to push the boundaries of knowledge. Additionally, we are pleased to advise that the latest version of our CQUEnglish flyer is now available.

Discussing future skills and innovation in China

Our Deputy Vice-President for International, Mr Shehan Thampapillai was invited by Study Queensland to join a panel discussion and networking event at this year's CIEET (China International Education Exhibition Tour) in Beijing. Since 1999, CIEET have promoted cross-border scholarly exchanges and international educational cooperation, providing a platform for institutions to showcase opportunities and deepen mutual exchanges.

Another highlight of the trip was reconnecting with our education agents in Beijing. Our academic, Dr Shirley Ledger, was also present to support our student recruitment efforts for the new Master of Social Work (Qualifying).

This visit underscores our ongoing commitment to fostering strong educational partnerships and expanding our presence in the region.

Decade of excellence

CQU's Institute for Future Farming Systems (IFFS) celebrates a decade of excellence, expanding focus and partnerships, increasing grant funding, and uniting researchers, higher degree students and professional staff in major agricultural science disciplines.
