No images? Click here Dear Agent Partner By our records you have a client who is planning to study the Master of Sustainability [CRICOS code: 068694C] in an upcoming intake. We are writing to let you know that the University of Sydney has recently made an administrative update to ensure the work component hours that are attributed to the Master of Sustainability are reflected in all course materials and the CRICOS register. Please note your client may be contacted to explain this change, and as such we are updating our agent partners with the same information. Work component We have reviewed the hours attributed to the Work Integrated Learning (WIL), including the work component in the capstone unit of study. We have now adjusted the hours referenced in our course materials to 280 hours. Please note that the workload and requirements for the capstone unit of study remain the same. The recent administrative update simply clarifies that the activities students will undertake in the capstone are reflected in course materials and the CRICOS register. What does this mean for applicants? We will proceed to review all applications and advise the applicant of the outcome. No action is required by you or your client - the hours reflected in course materials and in the CRICOS register will be updated accordingly. What does it mean for unconditional offer holders? An updated unconditional letter of offer will be issued to your client reflecting the work component. Your client will need to review the new offer and then accept that offer to secure their place in the course. What does it mean for students who have accepted their offer for a future intake? An updated unconditional letter of offer will be issued to your client reflecting the work component. Although they have already accepted an unconditional offer, they will be required to accept the new offer letter that has been issued to them. Please ensure they understand the change and why they are being asked to accept the offer again. What does it mean for conditional offer holders? A new conditional offer letter will be issued to your client to reflect the updated work component. We will continue to process their conditional offer once any required documents have been provided and we will advise them of the outcome. Please prompt your client to submit their documentation so they can proceed from conditional to unconditional and then secure their place by accepting their offer as soon as possible. What does it mean for a student studying in CET prior to commencing this course? We will issue an updated offer letter to reflect the work component following the release of the CET results. No other action is required but your clients can contact us if they have any questions whilst still completing their CET course. We would like to reassure you that the administrative adjustment will not affect the high-quality capstone unit of study work component and learning outcomes planned for all students. The University recognises the importance of ensuring the adjustments to the work component and unit of study are reflected in the course materials. The work component information has been updated in the CRICOS register to now reflect the 280 hours required for the Master of Sustainability. If you have any questions or would like to discuss these changes or the application to study with the University of Sydney, you can email our specialist team directly or for admissions specific questions.
