Admissions update

April 2026

Dear partners

Thank you for your continued support.

This update outlines key admissions changes for upcoming intakes, including application timelines, offer conditions, and revised
admission requirements. These updates are aimed at strengthening our admissions processes and ensuring clarity and consistency for applicants and agents. We appreciate your ongoing partnership and cooperation.

General Update

Update to Offer Letter Acceptance Recommendation

Based on agent feedback and changes to the management of course places, we are updating the wording used in our offer letters
relating to acceptance recommendation dates. A change request has been submitted to our IT team, and we have requested prioritisation of this update given its importance to accurate and timely offer communications. Once the change comes into effect, our offer
letters will display the below information:

Postgraduate Offers

The updated wording will now state:

Please note that this offer will only remain valid for as long as there are places available in the intake in which you have applied for course
commencement. If there is a deadline stated in this offer, you need to accept by the deadline or the offer will lapse.

Offers will only lapse when a course is reaching capacity. Applicants and agents will be notified accordingly. Courses with
limited places or additional requirements will specify deadlines within the offer.

Undergraduate Offers

The updated wording will now state:

If there is a deadline stated in this offer, you need to accept by the deadline or the offer will lapse. If no deadline is stated and you wish
to confirm your place, we recommend accepting this offer within
14 daysof receiving it.

If a course is reaching capacity, applicants will be informed.

We would like to provide a clear update regarding quota programs and application processing timelines, particularly in response
to recent enquiries about whether certain high‑demand coursework programs require quotas.

Non-Strict Quota Programs

These programs are no longer strict quota-based. Applications are reviewed as they are received, and offers are made on an
ongoing (rolling) basis. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the program is nearing capacity.

· Master of Commerce

· Master of Economics and embedded courses

· Master of Media Practice and embedded courses

· Master of Computer Science and embedded courses

Postgraduate Update

Business School GPA Equivalence – Postgraduate (Non‑211 PRC Qualifications)

The Business School has approved updates to GPA equivalencies for postgraduate applicants holding qualifications from non‑211 institutions in China.
These changes take effect from Semester 2, 2026 onwards for all Business postgraduate coursework programs.

These revisions ensure more consistent and transparent admission standards aligned with current institutional benchmarking.

Previously rejected applications and (Special Admissions Process) SAP requests affected by GPA thresholds will be re‑assessed in line with the updated
requirements.

Extension of the Postgraduate Special Admissions Process - S2 2026

To support students seeking to commence study in Semester 2, 2026, the deadline for submitting requests under the postgraduate
Special Admissions Process has been extended to
30 April 2026.

Please share this update with eligible students and encourage early submission of all supporting documentation to allow sufficient
time for assessment and application progression.

Extension of the applications close date - PG Media Practice and PG Digital Communication - S2 2026

The S2 2026 application close dates for the PG Digital Communication and Culture programs have been extended to the 30 April
2026. This extension gives prospective students additional time to prepare and submit their application.

Additionally, the PG Media Practice programs, which previously had an earlier close date, will now follow the S2 2026 standard
international application closing date, bringing it in line with other PG programs.

Update for Master of Sustainability

The University of Sydney has recently made an administrative update to ensure the work component hours that are attributed
to the Master of Sustainability are reflected in all course materials.

We have now adjusted the hours referenced in our course materials to 280 hours. Please note that the workload and requirements
for the capstone unit of study remain the same. The recent administrative update simply clarifies that the activities students will undertake in the capstone are reflected in course materials. The work component is a mandatory and registered element of the
course, as outlined in the CRICOS register. As it forms part of the course requirements, it is not counted towards the Work Limitations under the student visa.

Your applicants may receive an updated offer letter to reflect the updates soon. If they have already accepted an offer, they
will need to accept the revised offer once it is issued.

Please note that if they have received an eCoe for this program, their current eCoE will remain valid.

For students already packaged with CET, an updated admission offer will be issued after the release of their CET results.

Faculty of Medicine and Health - Application Processing Time

Some programs, particularly postgraduate health‑related programs within the Faculty of Medicine and Health, may require longer
assessment timeframes due to additional academic review and assessment criteria. We recognise the importance of timely outcomes and are continuing to review processes to improve turnaround times wherever possible.
