Change Scenarios
The new entry requirement will apply to the following scenarios for entry to Semester 1, 2026, and onwards:

3. Deferral requests for 2026 entry:
· If a student requests to defer their application before 2 June 2025, the old entry requirement will apply.
· If a student requests to defer their application on or after 2 June 2025 and the application has met academic requirement
based on the old requirement, we will honour the previous academic assessment.
· If a student requests to defer their application on or after 2 June 2025 and the application has not met academic requirement,
the new entry requirement will apply.
The University of Sydney Foundation Program
1. For all packaged applications for Semester 1, 2026, the old entry requirement will apply
2. For all packaged applications for Semester 2, 2026, and onwards, regardless of application submission date, the old entry requirement will
apply
3. Deferral requests for 2026 entry:
· If a student requests to defer their application before 2 June 2025, the old entry requirement will apply.
· If a student requests to defer their application on or after 2 June 2025 and the application has met academic requirement

High Achievers Preparation Program
1. The new entry requirement will take effect on Monday, 2 June 2025 for new applicants who have applied for HAPP packaged offers for Semester
1, 2026 intake and onwards.
2. For applications submitted for HAPP packaged offers before 2 June 2025, the old entry requirement will apply.
3. For applications submitted for HAPP packaged offers on or after 2 June 2025, the new entry requirement will apply.
3. 截止至2025年5月12日，悉尼大学S1 2026本科位置情况如下。针对2026 S1的本科申请，一旦已经满足限额的50%，该课程立刻进入offer round的录取机制。
4. 针对以合作办学背景申请悉尼大学的本科申请人，大学明确：

5. 2026年Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) 已经开放，截止日是2025年9月15日。
6. 悉尼大学自2025年4月29日起关闭Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies所有stream，所有没有出无条件的录取不会再进一步审理，且Mastser of Education所有stream依旧在审核中，目前不会出具该专业录取。
7. Master of Diagnostic Radiography实习时间从770小时大幅增长至1050小时。该专业在2025年5月5日已开放申请，并将于8月31日关闭申请。
8. 与本科一样，悉尼大学将严格监控S1 2026硕士专业的申请，一旦到达位置的50%，即可进入round录取流程，以下是目前最新的位置情况。
9. 悉尼大学S2 2025重要时间点，目前抵达和注册截止日是2025年8月15日，如果学生因故无法在此日期前开始学习，则需要申请Suspend。
10. 目前大学的申请费支付系统可能有故障情况发生，大学正在全力修复该故障。

Course Changes
Nursing Degrees
In response to emerging industry practice changes in nursing, health and education, the Faculty of Medicine and Health has implemented some exciting
new changes to the core units of study and professional experience placement (known as work integrated learning) hours for our nursing degrees. The changes are in alignment with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) Standards for
Accreditation.
Below is a summary of the key changes to our nursing courses. Applicants who are affected by the changes will be contacted shortly:
Undergraduate
New ATAR Requirements for 2026 International Admissions
The University will adjust the 2026 International entry requirement for admissions to below programs:

Semester 1, 2026 - UG Strict Quota Degrees Status Update
We will issue rolling offers for undergraduate quota degrees for Semester 1, 2026. Once a degree reaches 50% capacity, offers for that program will
then be issued in offer rounds.
The status of each program will be reviewed regularly and included in the monthly Admissions updates.
As of 12 May 2025, the status of each quota degree is as follows:

Undergraduate Joint Program Assessment Update
1. Minimum Study Duration Requirement:
· Students must complete at least two years of their joint program to be eligible for direct entry.
· Students who have completed only one year will not be considered for direct entry. They will instead receive a conditional
offer requiring completion of their second year.
2. Program Type Restrictions: Joint programs with enrolment letter issued by the following types of institutions or delivery modes will not be accepted:
i. School of Continuing Studies
ii. Adult Education
iii. Self-Study, Evening Study
iv. Correspondence/Distance
v. TV/Radio program
3. Document Submission Requirements:
Applicant must submit an official enrolment letter issued by the Registrar’s Office of the degree-awarding institution(s). This letter must confirm
the following:
· Student's full name
· Degree name(s)
· Full course duration
· Country or location(s) where the studies were undertaken
· Medium of language instruction
· Confirmation of partnership with a specific foreign institution (if applicable)
· Credit points required for each part of enrolment within the program
Please note: Different joint program structures may lead to different assessment outcomes.
Postgraduate
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine 2026
Applications for the 2026 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program are now open. The updated Admissions Guide is available on the Sydney Courses
page.
Please encourage your students to review the guide and submit their application before the deadline on 15 September 2025.
Postgraduate Education Courses for All Streams
The Sydney School of Education and Social Work is currently finalising the review of the admissions requirements for the full suite of the Master of
Education and embedded programs across all streams—including General Education, Special and Inclusive Education, TESOL, Educational Leadership, and Educational Psychology. The revised requirements aim to better align entry criteria with the academic backgrounds
and qualifications necessary to support student success in each program.
As part of this transition, applications submitted for Semester 2, 2025, and all future intakes, including any deferral requests to the 2026 academic
year, will not be processed. However, any CET package offers and acceptances that have been finalised prior to this decision will be honoured and remain valid.
Following this comprehensive review, the school has made the decision to discontinue the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies across all streams,
effective from 29 April 2025. Consequently, any applications for this program that have been submitted but have not yet resulted in an unconditional offer will not be progressed further.
We will provide additional updates as they become available.
Master of Diagnostic Radiography
The Master of Diagnostic Radiography has been reviewed by the Faculty of Medicine and Health to align the work placement hours required by the Medical
Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA). The hours have been adjusted from 770 hours to 1050 hours to meet the clinical competency and standards for accreditation.
The application for the degree has opened for international students on the5 May 2025 and will close on the31 August 2025. We advise you to submit your student applications as soon as possible since this is a strict quota degree.
Semester 1, 2026 - PG Strict Quota Degrees Status Update
Unconditional offers for most postgraduate degrees for Semester 1, 2026 are currently being issued on a rolling basis. Once a program reaches 50% of
its capacity, the issuance of unconditional offers will transition to scheduled offer rounds.
The status of each program will be reviewed regularly and included in the monthly Admissions Updates.
The degrees listed below include the Master’s program and its embedded Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma.
Admissions Key Dates Related to Semester 2 2025

· If a student is unable to obtain their visa in time to arrive by 15 August 2025, they should be advised to apply for
a suspension of studies.
· Students should aim to be on campus by course commencement and no later than 15 August 2025 to avoid academic or visa
complications.
Application Fee Payment Gateway
The University is currently experiencing intermittent issues with the payment gateway, affecting a small number of attempted transactions.
We can confirm that this issue is being treated as a priority and is actively being worked on to implement an urgent fix. | |
