Semester 2 is fast approaching, and it has been a busy month for the International Student Recruitment team. Our team in China hosted the Vice-Chancellor's visit to Shanghai and our Associate Director (International) visited our agents in Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Nepal. We’re launching our 2026 Early Acceptance Scholarships and once again, the University is excelling in the Global Sustainability rankings. Early Acceptance Scholarship for 2026We will be offering our Early Acceptance scholarship and Early Acceptance and Tasmanian International Scholarship for semester 1, 2026.The Early Acceptance Scholarship is valued at 15% of the annual tuition fees for each year of study.Your student may also be eligible for the Tasmanian International Scholarship, offering 25% off tuition fees. Students need to accept their offer early to receive an extra 10% discount through the Early Acceptance Scholarship, totaling 35% off for the duration of their course.More information about this scholarship, including relevant dates, can be found on our website. Vice-Chancellor's trip to ShanghaiThe Vice-Chancellor Leadership Reception in Shanghai on 9 June was a resounding success, bringing together six top-tier agents for an evening of insightful discussions and networking. The event fostered meaningful exchanges on leadership strategies, industry trends, and collaborative opportunities. Attendees gained valuable insights into emerging challenges and innovations, strengthening connections within the academic and professional spheres. With a dynamic atmosphere and high-level engagement, the reception reinforced its role as a platform for thought leadership and partnership-building. The discussions and interactions set the stage for future initiatives, highlighting the importance of strategic dialogue in shaping leadership excellence. Associate Director's visit to Vietnam, Sri Lanka and NepalHelen McClure, Associate Director of International Recruitment, recently returned from a trip to Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Nepal. In addition to meeting with our key trusted agent partners, she hosted a University of Tasmania information day in Ho Chi Minh City where prospective students and their parents had the opportunity to meet with her and Thuy, our Country Manager for Vietnam to ask any questions about studying in Tasmania. The Study Tasmania team as well as Tasmania based alumni and current students zoomed in for what was a great evening of engagement and lots of questions!In Nepal and Sri Lanka, she met with our trusted agent network and hosted Partner Excellence Awards events for top performing agents in each market.
