1. Scholarships

Destination Australia Scholarship

We are still accepting applications for the generous Destination Australia Scholarship, offering successful applicants with a $15,000 scholarship every year for the duration of their course, up to four years. The deadline is 31 January 2024, so encourage your students to apply before it closes.

Free English Language Programs up to 20 weeks

Did you know that UTAS are still offering our English for Academic Purposes program (10 or 20 weeks) free of charge for students with a package offer for 2024? This can be offered in addition to a Tasmanian Access or Tasmanian International Scholarship and is available for all courses offering a package offer. Don’t miss out! 2. Online Events

Bachelor of Pharmacy Online Information Session

We will be holding an online information session on Monday 18 December at 6pm Hobart time with Pharmacy lecturer Dr Mackenzie Williams and our alumni from South Korea, Kim Nak Kyun. In this session, you will hear about the fast-track course structure, graduate employment opportunities in Tasmania and across Australia, and Nak’s career journey since graduating from UTAS in 2013. Agents, applicants and prospective students welcome!

Pre-Departure Webinars

We have been holding a series of Pre-departure Information Sessions for students who are commencing study with us in early 2024. In this session, students will hear from our panel about accommodation options, visa requirements, support for new students, enrolment and orientation. Participants will also have a chance to ask us any questions that they may have. Please encourage your students to come along!

Career and Education Prospects at the Australian Maritime College

Our Country Manager for Taiwan, Eann Chen, recently held a webinar for agents across the world with the course coordinators of our Global Logistics and Maritime Engineering degrees, as well as a key industry partner and two of our international alumni. The session covered course information, an insight into the Maritime and Logistics industry and talks from our alumni about their careers after graduating from the AMC. 3. Course Spotlight

Master of Strategic Communications

This popular two-year Masters degree taught at our Media School on the waterfront of the Hobart CBD has been developed in consultation with industry to give graduates expertise in professional-level communications in one of four specialisations – Environmental Conservation, Marketing Communication, Public and Environmental Health or Tourism and Experience.

The degree includes an 80-hour internship, giving students that all-important relevant work experience to include on their resume. The course starts in Semester 1, and there are still places available, so don’t miss out!
