20/04/2026
Greetings from Whitireia and WelTec.
We greatly appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you throughout the year.
We’re pleased to share a new online-to-campus pathway for international students into our NZQA Level 9 postgraduate programmes for the 2026 intakes:
How the pathway works
This pathway is delivered in two stages:
Stage 1 – Start Online
Students can begin their Master's degree online, completing the first 60 credits through live scheduled classes, dedicated tutor support, and rich interactive learning resources. Perfect for those balancing work or family commitments.
Stage 2 – Complete in New Zealand
Students progress to complete the remaining 120 credits on campus in New Zealand after Stage 1. They graduate with the full 180-credit NZQA Level 9 Master's qualification—ideal for students seeking flexible pathways to New Zealand study.
Fees, value and intakes
The international fee for the online stage (60 credits) is approximately NZ$8,320, inclusive of International Admin Fee ($120) and Student Services Fee ($200).
When students enrol on campus, they may receive a partial fee credit and a study grant, reducing the overall programme cost by up to NZ$6,000.
Students can begin online in: July 2026 or November 2026
They would then transition to New Zealand in: February 2027 or July 2027
Programme options
Master of Management (MM) – ideal for students pursuing careers across business disciplines, with coursework and optional research pathways.
Master of Professional Practice (MPP) – designed for working professionals, with the option to tailor the qualification via endorsements (e.g., Leadership or Education).
Please see the attached flyers for full programme details, entry requirements, and example timetables

To help avoid delays, please ensure that applications submitted to our International Admissions Team are complete and include all required supporting documents, including the student’s statement of purpose (SOP), CV, English test results, and any programme-specific forms.
For Health and Social Services programmes such as Enrolled Nursing, Nursing and Paramedicine, the HSS Referee Report and HSS Supplementary Application must also be included.
Please also ensure that all copies submitted are properly verified/certified. For applications submitted through an approved agent, all documents must be certified by that approved agent. Incomplete applications and/or unverified documents will delay application processing.
Exploring Te Papa Together
At Whitireia and WelTec, we value opportunities for students to connect, explore, and experience New Zealand beyond the classroom. Some of our international students recently visited Te Papa Museum with our tutors.
