| | | | | Australian Rover Challenge | | The Annual Australian Rover Challenge and launch of the new EXTERRES Analogue Facility took place from March 21st to 24th, 2024, at the Roseworthy campus.
The Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh) is a yearly robotics competition hosted by the University of Adelaide. The event brings together university students from Australia and around the world to compete in a full-scale Lunar mission using semi-autonomous rovers they've designed and built.
This year marked a significant milestone with our largest number of team registrations (14) and teams making it to the competition (10).
We're proud to have achieved international recognition, welcoming teams from Brac University in Bangladesh and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Wroclawska) in Poland alongside our Australian counterparts.
Congratulations to Projekt Scorpio from Politechnika Wroclawska, Poland, for winning the 2024 Australian Rover Challenge.
| | | | | | | | | In March, we hosted 57 study agents from around the world for the 2024 StudyAdelaide Global Agent Famil. They had the opportunity to explore our North Terrace campus and visit facilities such as the Acoustic and Vibration Lab, Financial Lab, and our business incubator – ThincLab. Additionally, we provided a tour of our impressive Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS) building, equipped with cutting-edge technology for health simulation practices.
It was wonderful to have some of you in Adelaide and experience firsthand what it's like to be a part of our campus and modern facilities. | | | | | | | | We're excited to announce that the University of Adelaide will be celebrating Eid al-Fitr this month, an annual tradition that honours the cultural diversity of our international students. We invite all current students to join us in commemorating this special occasion. It's a time for us to come together, celebrate, and embrace our shared cultural heritage.
?️ Date: 12 April, 2024 ? Time: 5:15pm - 8:00pm ? Location: Math Lawns, North Terrace | | | | | | | | | | In March, we had the pleasure of accompanying approximately 80 international students as they explored the vibrant city of Adelaide. From the lively atmosphere of the Adelaide Fringe Festival to the captivating street art of the East End and the bustling Adelaide Central Market, our students had a fantastic time immersing themselves in the rich culture and diverse attractions of the city. | | | | | | | | Towards the end of 2023, we were fortunate to have over 300 study agents participate in our agent survey. As a token of our appreciation, six lucky winners were drawn to receive incredible prizes from the University. In March, offshore managers had the pleasure of personally presenting these prizes to the lucky recipients. We extend our sincerest gratitude for your continued support and valuable input, which is crucial to the ongoing success of the University of Adelaide. | | | | | | | We are excited to announce that the University of Adelaide will be hosting Open Days in Malaysia, Singapore, and China throughout April and the coming month. Building on the success of our previous Open Days, including two successful events in Vietnam this week with nearly 200 participating students, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to and supported these events.
These events offer an excellent opportunity for students to engage with faculty members and learn about various academic programs, scholarships, career prospects, and accommodation options. We encourage you to join us at these events and invite your students to make the most of this valuable opportunity to explore the possibilities available at the University of Adelaide.
