CDU Deepens Australia–China Ties in Sustainable Tropical Aquaculture and Agriculture |
The Research Institute for Northern Agriculture (RINA) at Charles Darwin University (CDU) is strengthening Australia–China collaboration in tropical aquaculture through a recent engagement led by Sunil Kadri and Chengyuan Xu. Supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, the visit advanced partnerships in sustainable aquaculture, including sea cucumber (trepang) research, and reinforced strong connections with leading Chinese institutions. A key highlight was the focus on Indigenous collaboration, linking Australian Aboriginal communities with the Li people of Hainan through knowledge exchange and capacity building—demonstrating CDU’s growing global impact in sustainable aquaculture and the blue economy. |
Thank you once again for your continued commitment and support of CDU Global. With so much progress already underway in Semester 2 2026, we look forward to achieving even more together in the months ahead. Charles Darwin University |
