Curtin's preferred Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provider, Medibank Private has introduced a new premium rate for Medibank Comprehensive OSHC effective today, 1 May 2026. All offers issued as of today will have the new premium applied accordingly.
This is to share with you that a communication has also been sent to the impacted offered students who received Curtin’s Offer dated before 1 May 2026 that has the old premium quoted. Below is the message we sent to them. If you need further clarification on this, please contact your Regional Recruitment Manager.
If you hold an offer for 2026 admission intake and beyond, accept the offer and pay the OSHC premium on or before 15 August 2026, the lower Medibank premium on your offer will be honoured. (refer to Medibank Flyer)
If you accept your offer after 15 August 2026, the NEW OSHC Medibank premium will apply to you. Please refer to the Medibank OSHC Premium Change – Price List 2026 for a list of the OSHC prices that you will need to pay if you accept your offer after 15 August 2026. How to calculate your new premium rate after 15 August 2026:
Refer to page 3 on your letter of offer, under ‘OSHC Details’ you can find the number of months required for your OSHC cover (Visa Duration)
Look up the number of months on the ‘Medibank OSHC Premium Change – Price List 2026’ to identify the new premium. Example of 26 months OSHC: If you accept your offer by 15 August 2026, you will pay the OSHC Single Cover AUD$1,732.65 (Old premium).
After 15 August 2026, the OSHC Single cover will be AUD$1,850.65 (New premium).
We encourage you to accept your offer as soon as possible, so that we can offer you the Medibank premium as quoted on your offer.
