View this email in your browserAgent UpdateEIT is proud to celebrate 50 years in 2025Kia oraAs EIT celebrates 50 years of providing quality tertiary education in 2025, it was a pleasure to welcome students to our Hawke’s Bay and Auckland campuses in Terms 1 and 2. We were glad to see all the new students engaged with EIT staff, mentors and other students with different experiences and backgrounds.We were also proud to attend our 2025 graduation events and celebrate the success of our many graduates. This year, EIT Auckland Campus held its largest ever graduation, a milestone moment with a record 216 students crossing the stage in front of proud family, friends and faculty.International students continue to be attracted by EIT’s quality teaching and learning, applied professional programmes, links with industry and the creation of opportunities for academic and personal growth.EIT’s Interim Operations Lead Glen Harkness says that EIT has become an integral part of the community.“It is a privilege to have been able to play a part in continuing to bring Margaret Hetley’s dream to life for 50 years. EIT’s strength lies not only in its achievements, staff and students but also through the support of the communities of Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti and our international partners.”Thank you for your continued support in sending international students to EIT. Please be assured that EIT’s bank details are correct and we are working to resolve this as soon as we can.In the meantime, applicants should keep clicking ‘continue’ when prompted.Thank you for your understanding and please reach out to us and let us know if and when you experience this by emailing international@eit.ac.nzOur StudentsHere are a couple of EIT student profiles to help you counsel applicants about the experience of others at EIT.Agatha Leiur Senina Araneta | Master of Health ScienceCompleting a Master of Health Science at EIT had a meaningful impact on Agatha Leiur Senina Araneta. Originally from the Philippines, Leiur was a GP – Occupational Health Physician with experiences in clinical and community health before moving oceans away to study at EIT.“What I enjoy best is that we got do a lot of critical essays and forums that tickle our academic creativity. I really enjoyed Advance Pathophysiology and Global Health as it tackled and rekindled my love for medical knowledge,” Leiur says. Outside of academics, international events like “Taste of Cultures” were highlights. “One of our lecturers would always plan out a shared lunch, and it’s a way for us international students to enjoy food as well as learn each other’s culture better.”Watch the videoPilar Rojas Bracamonte | Master of Applied Management“Based on my courses so far, I am very hopeful that my programme will help build my confidence to deal with future challenges in my professional career regarding current trends in my work field. Click on the link below to see a quick recap video.Watch the videoNetworking and Making Friends WorkshopThe EIT Auckland student lounge buzzed with energy on Wednesday 30 April as students gathered for the Networking and Making Friends workshop - an event designed to spark connections and foster community.The workshop began with a warm welcome from the Student Support team, who introduced the purpose of the session. Through a series of light-hearted icebreakers and group discussions, students quickly discovered they had more in common than they expected.Celebrations as EIT Hawke’s Bay students graduateThere was a strong sense of celebration in Napier Friday 11 April as 300 EIT students marked the end of their study journey.Two ceremonies were held at the Napier Municipal Theatre on Friday (April 11), with whānau, friends and supporters gathering to mark the occasion.
