在 2025 年 QS 世界大学学科排名中，墨尔本大学在所有五大主要学科领域均位列全球前 50。

2026 和 2027 年申请截止日期：实施了更早且标准化的申请截止日期。
- 本科（S1入学）：申请截止日期为 10 月 31 日，不接受逾期的申请。
- 本科（S2入学）：申请截止日期为 3 月 31 日，不接受逾期的申请。
- 研究生课程（S1入学）：及时申请截止日期为 8 月 31 日，延迟申请截止日期为 9 月 30 日（仅在课程仍有名额的情况下接受延迟申请，建议学生在及时申请截止日期前提交，以增加录取机会）。

Information related to undergraduate applications

Meeting maths prerequisites for UG degrees

The University offers a 9-week online Calculus and Probability course to help students meet mathematics entry requirements. The course runs in March and August. Registrations open in July.

Information related to graduate applications

English requirement update – Health

The following programs have revised their English language requirements, effective immediately:

Master of Genetic Counselling
Master of Genomics and Health
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Doctor of Medicine

The new IELTS score required is 7.0 overall, with a minimum score of 7.0 in Writing and no band less than 6.5. For further information, including scores for other accepted English language tests, please refer to the information here.

Application closing date for Arts PhD

The Faculty of Arts has changed the graduate research degree application closing date to 15 August 2025 for the start-year 2026 intake. Application outcomes are expected to be sent in mid-October. More information is available here. This adjustment aims to give students outcomes earlier so that they have more time to prepare for travel to Melbourne.

Updated application timelines for Fine Arts and Music

Application timelines for Fine Arts and Music graduate programs have changed. From 2025, applications will be assessed in two main rounds instead of on a rolling basis. These changes apply to applicants seeking entry in the February 2026 intake.

Round 1 applications open in April 2025 and close at the end of May 2025. Applicants will receive an early outcome by the end of June 2025. We strongly encourage applying in Round 1 to allow ample time for visa processing and preparation.

Round 2 opens in July 2025, with outcomes released by the end of November 2025.

To be considered for admission, applicants must submit both an online course application via the University’s website and a supplementary performance assessment through SlideRoom. Both components are required for the application to be assessed.
