墨尔本大学验光博士（Doctor of Optometry）的入学要求有一项重要的新更新：

  • 2027 年入学的申请者将不再需要完成 GAMSAT、MCAT 或 OAT 考试作为申请的一部分。
  • 这一入学要求的调整降低了学生的申请门槛，也更符合澳大利亚其他验光项目的标准。该验光博士项目的入学将基于学业成绩（加权平均分 / WAM）及现有其他标准。


这对 2027 年申请者意味着：

  • 无需参加入学考试（GAMSAT、MCAT 或 OAT）
  • 申请仅通过加权平均分（WAM）进行评估



Dear valued partner,

 

We have an important new update regarding entry requirements for the Doctor of Optometry (OD) at the University of Melbourne. 

 

Applicants for the 2027 intake will no longer be required to complete the GAMSAT, MCAT or OAT as part of their application. 

 

This change to entry requirements reduces barriers for students and better aligns with other optometry programs across Australia. Entry to the OD program will be based on academic performance (Weighted Average Mark/WAM) and existing criteria. 

 

What does this mean for 2027 applicants: 

  • No entry test (GAMSAT, MCAT or OAT) is required. 
  • Applications will be assessed using WAM only.
