5-HT Week Introduction
5-HT is the abbreviation of 5-hydroxytryptamine. As a neurotransmitter with extremely high content in the human body, it can help humans produce pleasant emotions from the brain level, so it’s also known as the messenger of happiness.
The 5-HT Week of UNNC is held during the revision season of each semester. Featuring a series of stress-relieving activities, it is organised as a large-scale physical and mental wellbeing initiative within the university. The primary aim is to assist everyone in managing stress and alleviating feelings of anxiety, emphasising the importance of self-care even amidst busy schedules. Furthermore, 5-HT is gradually extending to a wider community, bringing warmth and support to more people.
Theme of this year: “4U: For you”
The theme for this semester’s 5-HT Week is “4U”, meaning “For You”. The 4U-series activities will revolve around four different dimensions – companionship, vitality, balance, and joy. Whether you are looking for emotional resonance or are in search of a way to relieve stress, the curated activities are sure to provide you with personalised experiences.

Be it spoken words of encouragement or the quiet presence of someone aside, the emotional bolstering provided by companionship aids individuals in managing negative feelings. Throughout the demanding final season, we are always here to support you.
