Swinburne’s suite of cyber security courses is each designed to give students the knowledge and skills to protect and secure digital networks, as well as gain real-world skills to analyse and deal with online threats.
In the Bachelor of Cyber Security, students learn foundational skills, including encryption systems, access control and how network architecture and the internet is used to defend online data. For students who wish to further develop their computer science and cyber security knowledge, there are a number of postgraduate pathways into the Master of Cyber Security, which focuses on identifying, demonstrating, diagnosing and fixing flaws in software systems.
Through hands-on learning and opportunities to gain industry experience, students graduate prepared for high‑demand roles such as cyber security analyst, penetration tester, security consultant, or systems architect across a variety of sectors including finance, healthcare, and government.
