Textiles and Fashion Design, Design and Technology, and Computing Technology will be available from Term 1, 2026.
Read more | New minors for bachelor programs in Arts Design and Architecture From Term 1, 2026, Game Design and Gaming and Society can be studied as minors in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Social Sciences, Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Media.
Digital Social Sciences and Working with Communities minors will also be available in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Sciences.
Learn more | | Business and Law & Justice | | | Introducing the AI in Business and Society major The cross-disciplinary AI in Business and Society major is available in the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Sciences, and is a new specialisation in the Master of Commerce and Master of Commerce (Extension).

| | UNSW launched Australia's first undergraduate specialisation in Nuclear Engineering The Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) now offers a new Nuclear Engineering specialisation. This cutting-edge program prepares students for careers in clean energy, advanced reactors, and nuclear safety.

This exciting update opens new pathways for students passionate about improving lives through engineering and healthcare solutions.
Read more | | Introducing the Biophysics major Biophysics will be available as a new major and minor in the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) from Term 1, 2026. Biophysics is an exciting interdisciplinary field that bridges the gap between physics and biology.
Read more | New Drone Applications minor A Drone Applications minor has been introduced in the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Aviation Management from Term 1, 2026.
Read more | | Changes to admission requirements for the Bachelor of Aviation (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) Changes to admissions requirements include the removal of 40 hours crewed flying experience, no internal application form to the school, no interview requirement, and a reduction in flying fees.
Students will need to pay for the ‘Drone Flight Training Costs’ of this degree. Students will be notified of their drone flight training costs in the year they start.
