Important update about UNSW Sydney 2026 intakes | | |
Dear partner, | Thanks to your continued advocacy, UNSW Sydney remains a highly sought after destination for study in 2026. In alignment with government priorities and our commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for all students, we have made the decision to close new applications for New Overseas Student Commencements (NOSC) for Term 1, 2026 and Term 2, 2026. This close will take place on the UNSW Apply Online platform immediately. Are there any exemptions to the closure? The following student cohorts, primarily determined by the Australian Government’s non-NOSC definitions, will be exempt from the closure: - Existing UNSW College students seeking progression to Term 1, 2026 and Term 2, 2026 (Application is via the UNSW College portal).
- Sponsored students.
- Students from recognised UNSW articulation pathways.
- High school students studying in Australia and applicants applying via the Universities Admission Centre (UAC).
- Students studying at UNSW and continuing onto further study.
- Students who apply through an upcoming UNSW owned in-country Application Day event.
- Fully online programs.
Students defined above as exempt should apply for Term 3, 2026 and indicate their desire to be assessed for a Term 1, 2026 or Term 2, 2026 commencement via the Admissions Enquiry Form. | | | What this means for 2026 international applicants
