As a global top 20 university*, UNSW continues to experience high levels of applicant demand. With this demand, and the current Australian Government guidance around enrolment limits, we are approaching capacity for several of our programs in 2026. |

Undergraduate programs All undergraduate programs closed for new NOSC applications across all 2026 intakes on Monday, 17 November 2025. Where programs are at capacity, applicants continue to be assessed for their additional preferences where applicable. Due to high conversion, we are now only making limited offers in line with our Grouped Offer Round policy to existing applicants for programs across the UNSW Business School and our faculties of Engineering, Law & Justice, Medicine & Health and Science. No further offers will be made to applicants for programs across the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture. Non-NOSC applicants, including sponsored students, as well as recognised articulation applicants and progressing UNSW College students remain exempt from closures and will continue to receive offers where entry criteria have been met.

Postgraduate programs Applications for postgraduate programs continue at pace with some programs approaching capacity. Therefore, we closed applications for NOSC students to the following programs at 12pm on Monday, 19 January 2026 (AEDT): All programs in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture All programs in the Faculty of Engineering (excluding Master of Information Technology and associated programs) All programs in the Faculty of Science
We will continue to process existing applications and where we have capacity, we will continue to issue offers. The UNSW Business School and faculties of Law & Justice and Medicine & Health remain open to all new applicants. Further, the Master of Information Technology and associated programs remain open to applications under our Grouped Offer Round approach. We encourage your students to submit their complete application for these programs as early as possible. Non-NOSC applicants, including sponsored students, remain exempt from closures and will continue to receive offers where entry criteria has been met.

An update to grouped offer rounds |
Based on your feedback, we have made an update to our Grouped Offer Round process. The number of offer rounds has increased from three to five, ensuring that your students receive a faster outcome on their application. Upcoming 2026 offer rounds are: Round 3 – Thursday, 5 February 2026 Round 4 – Thursday, 26 February 2026 Round 5 – Thursday, 19 March 2026
All undergraduate programs, the Master of Information Technology (and associated programs) and Master of Laws are assessed under our Grouped Offer Round approach. Please check our website for the offer round schedules.

Applications for study in 2027 |
Applications to study at UNSW across all 2027 terms will open in February and we will provide full information on our approach shortly. Please encourage your students to have their documentation ready to apply as we expect to experience continued high demand and early application activity as students seek to secure study with us. |
