This email outlines the essential next steps you need to take after receiving your full offer.

Essential next steps

1. 接收录取通知书 | Accept Your Full Offer

Secure your place at Otago by accepting your offer:

• Check your Offer of Place letter in your eVision alerts

• Click Accept Offer

2. 支付学费 | Pay Your Tuition Fee

You must pay your full tuition fee before submitting your student visa application.

• Tuition fees are estimated on your Offer of Place letter.

• Pay the full fee on your Offer of Place (not a deposit).

• Payment methods (NZD):

• Convera GlobalPay Platform

• Bank Transfer

3. 从eVision获取学费收据回执 | Request Tuition Fee Receipt (Required for Visa Application)

Tuition fee receipt: ESSENTIAL STEP TO APPLY FOR STUDENT VISA

Steps to request a tuition fee receipt as an international student:

• Log in to eVision.

• Click Request tuition fee receipt from either the My Finances container or the Finance menu.

• Select the academic year they are requesting the receipt for from the drop-down menu.

• Click Request receipt.

• Click Exit and check your eVision alert to download the receipt.

4. 学生签证申请 | Apply for Your Student Visa

• All international students must have a visa valid for study at the University of Otago, with the correct location of campus and programme of study specified.

• Avoid delays in processing the application: Why some applications are processed faster than others | Immigration New Zealand

• Check your visa application status: Checking your visa application status | Immigration New Zealand

• Check emails regularly, including spam/junk folders, in case INZ requests more information. If an Immigration Adviser or education consultant (agent) applies on your behalf, keep in regular contact with them.

5. 奖学金 | International Scholarships

The University of Otago has launched an expanded suite of international scholarships and eVision scholarship application functionality. You can find the summary of our Otago international students scholarship offer here

Please log in to your eVision portal and ensure you accept your scholarship offer before the stated deadline to avoid missing out.

同时请及时查看eVision系统，并且接受奖学金offer, 避免错过奖学金的接收截止日期。

Undergraduate programme (offshore) offer holder:

• The unconditional Offer of Place will indicate which scholarship you are eligible for. This will then be followed by a separate Scholarship Outcome Notification.

• You need to ACCEPT the scholarship offer within the two-week deadline from the notification being sent.

• For top academic students to be considered for the prestigious International Academic Excellence Scholarship, you must have selected ‘YES’ to be considered for international academic excellence scholarships and have also accepted the first scholarship offer (e.g. Global Scholarship) within the two-week deadline. Once the first scholarship offer is accepted, you will be invited to apply to the International Academic Excellence Scholarship through eVision (the application portal). The invitation to apply for this additional scholarship is only open for 2 weeks from the time you are invited (directly after accepting the Global Scholarship). An application must be completed to be considered for this scholarship.

新西兰境外本科offer holders特别注意：
1. 收到奖学金审理结果后，请在两周内接收
2. 接收奥塔哥大学全球奖学金之后，系统会询问您是否考虑申请本科阶段学术优异奖学金，有计划的申请者请选择“Yes”, 随后就可以在您的eVision主页奖学金申请栏下找到“Apply for International Academic Excellence Scholarship ” 就可进行申请。
请注意再International Academic Excellence Scholarship申请截止日期内完成该奖学金的申请，如果收到该奖学金申请成功的通知也需要再两周内接收。

6. 申请住宿| Booking accommodation

• Semester 2 2026 accommodation applications open on 1 April 2026.

计划2026年7月入读的学生，我们的校属宿舍将于2026年4月1日 – 6月1日开放申请。

• Apply via your eVision portal using the Accommodation tab. Take a look at your options here

• Find more information on our Website - Accommodation for international students or email accommodation@otago.ac.nz.

住宿选择：

1．Residential Colleges(住宿学院)：适合本科课程和预科课程的新生

2． UniFlats（大学公寓）：适合研究生，博士生课程的新生或本科课程第二年的学生

申请方式：

1. 登录eVision账号

2. 在eVision主页"My details" 下，点击 “Residential Colleges and UniFlats” 即可进入Te Puna宿舍申请主页。

3. 同时申请人会收到标题为“Registration with Te Puna, the Otago Student Accommodation Portal”的邮件，邮件中会提示学生完成Te Puna登录密码设置。

4. 登录Te Puna，按照指示进一步完成要求的步骤以及上传需要的资料。
