As you will be aware, we are currently under UCAS embargo pending the main A level and Level 3 results release on Thursday 14th August, but I wanted to provide you with a reminder of our Clearing and Confirmation arrangements.   Our listing of programmes with vacancies in Clearing will go live around 5pm UK time (BST) on Wednesday 13th August. Dear partners, This year UoM is adapting its approach to pre-departure briefings. Although there will still be several presentations in selected countries, our primary focus will be on a revamped live stream from our professional studio on campus, which will be repeated three times across Monday 9th July, Tuesday 24th July and Tuesday 5th August. ‘Your Next Steps: Pre Departure Briefing’ will cover the important actions for new students, from applying for a visa and paying the fees, to registering as a student and confirming a place in accommodation. We will also be joined live in the studio by current students and colleagues from the Students’ Union. All applicants will directed to the new Payment Information for Applicants section of the Making a Payment webpage for the full range of payment options.We request that you familiarise yourself with these instructions for payments, as it is extremely important that they are made correctly and attributed to the right student. Please note in particular that the payments should be made by the applicant, and the University ID number must be included with the payment.  Clarification of English Language Requirements at Point of Application Please note that the following Master’s programmes require the submission of an approved English language test score at the point of application.  Applicants who meet the academic requirements but do not provide an English Language test score will be contacted to remind them of this, as applications will not be processed until an English language test score is provided. Where students have submitted evidence of English language but have not yet met the required grade, any offers made will remain conditional on either retaking an English language test or booking onto a Pre-sessional course.
